Quotes from The Front Runner. There are very fonfo moments with Harlan and Vince where we get to experience them as a potential couple and the way it was written, I wasn’t really feeling their love.

Mar 30, Rachel Shadel rated it really liked it. In this story, it seems Harlan has more downs than ups as he struggles to survive and has to hide from someone targeting him — who fobdo suspected to be partners with the man who shot Billy.
It was as if she was in the head of a gay man the way she was writing this book. I kept this book hidden under my bed. Keeping the times in which this story was originally written, I found this book just didn’t live up to expectations of the original.
I don’t think the author could get back into the feel of the time back then and kept reaching, but never quite making it. But, like I said, perhaps not something to read on vacation in an airport. Written in first person, Harlan Brown, 39 going patrivia 40is our main character.
The narrator is Harlan Brown, the trainer of several Olympic hopeful runners at a small college near New York. It is a tragedy. May 22, Jenne rated it it was ok Shelves: About Patricia Nell Warren. It’s mainly about his love for Vince as well as a few other men that don’t really compare. It feels very much like the writer decided to throw something new into the ending of the first book, so she had a plot device to go with for the second, but it makes me feel cheated as a reader. What the hell was I thinking all those years ago?
In this book again, PNW spends most of her time having Harlan describe his life. We don’t know what he likes or what his goals in life are.
