I felt like Calla was playing both Shay and Ren to a certain point and it really made me upset with her big time and made me loose some of my respect I had for her. But in the end, it wasn’t for me. I liked the characters, so it was good to read and learn more about them. While there’s no doubt she’s a brave heroine, she’s also frustratingly selfish — even when she’s purportedly acting for the greater good. I’m getting more and more mad about this stupid series. Andrea Cremer is a gifted and talented writer. Surely this can not be the finished copy??!! Everything that happened felt important.
And yes, Cremer could have went with any other number of endings for the book. You’re the bloodroes a choose from the moment I saved you on the mountain. But I was not happy. I’m not going to share. Can I just say I am mad. Calla and bloodrosee wolf pack must help Shay and the Seekers destroy the Keepers’ evil hold on their world. Don’t get me started on Calla. But I just love all these characters that I don’t want anyone to die. Other less important characters also die during the climactic battle, and one main character is presumed dead.
Uh, umm guys, I literally just finished Bloodrose. Ren was the best character.
I don’t know why either, because I knew it wasn’t going to end the way I wanted, but I kept holding out hope that Andrea Cremer would bloosrose to her fans. Boarderline domestic abuse disguised as love in sheep’s clothing.
